YouTube have introduced handles for those with their own channel. These are personalised URLs, for example: youtube.com/comeswithfries.

If your channel already appears like this, then YouTube will have reserved this handle for you but it's a good idea to head here to check and make sure you've got the right handle for you. Keep in mind that handles are unique to each channel, so once a handle has been chosen, it can't be selected by anyone else.

Your new handle will become part of your channel URL. You can use your handle to direct people to your channel from external sites / social media etc. For example, if your handle is @comeswithfries, your channel URL will be https://youtube.com/@comeswithfries which is much easier than sharing a long link!

Handles will also now allow people to tag you on YouTube in both long-form and on Shorts, whether that's in the title or the description.
